When Science met God…

Why ME?

A Paradigm shift

‘Why did this happen to me?’ - a question that haunts every body at some point in their life. ‘Did I really deserve this?’ we ask in desperation, trying to figure why such events relentlessly pursue our brief existence on planet earth. No logical explanation seems to relate to such an outcome. Never in your wildest dreams can you relate your actions from the past to deliver such a resultant chaos. Even the most positive, most aligned, most peaceful of us, buckle under the weight of not knowing ‘why’ did this transpire… We each find our coping skills - God,...

Water seeks its own level

“The lower in energy will be drawn to the higher in energy. The higher in energy will empower the lower in energy” - Mahatria Ra... ‘Hi Ma! We learnt a new trick in school’ - the little girl was all excited. She pulled out her book and showed the picture of a simple Manometer - an open ‘U’Tube. She explained - ‘We poured water into the right side but it always became equal on both sides!’ The mother gently smiled ‘Hmmm... That is so cool my dear! So what did your teacher say? Why did they rise equally?’ The kid...

Where is my anchor?

‘O my God! How could you let this happen!’ exclaimed Science looking very perturbed. Unruffled, the Lord smiled but Science failed to notice. He ranted on… Science: How could you let this happen Lord! Just now my children were settling down with the comfort of some understanding and here you go spoiling everything by changing the one thing they assumed was constant. Now they are so confused and divided in their opinion, it is going to take for ever to reconcile all their views… why did you have to do this!!! God: Calm down my child. As always you need...

Is life a conspiracy?

“Life has conspired against me! It is all my parents’ fault!!! My dad insisted I follow this career path and my mom insisted I marry this girl... and look at me now stuck in an unhappy marriage with an absolutely uninspiring career... I am trapped for life!!” cribbed the guy at the restaurant. His friend took one look at him and said “Yes I agree. You are stuck. Not because of what others might have done but because of what you are doing to yourself.” Science wanted to help the man. Hadn’t the Lord told Science in their earlier meeting...

O God! That hurts!

The well protected film crew was wading through the snow clad Himalayas. The main actor, a young youth portraying an Indian Yogi, was shivering clad as he was in a simple dhoti with a bare torso. After every shot was canned his aides would literally rush to him with protective shawls and blankets to cover him. Loads of hot spicy tea was pumped into him to keep him warm. The guides of that region almost seemed unnecessary. They hardly had any work. And yet it were they who saved the youth’s life! Science was watching the filming with great enthusiasm....

In search of who I want to be

There was shock, non-acceptance, rejection, hurt and anger in her face. She simply couldn’t believe this was happening.  Her jaw had dropped and her eyes were shinning bright with an emotion not entirely comprehensible to the mind nor easily captured in words.  Her friend squeezed her shoulders and brought her back to the reality of her surroundings. She gently smiled willing her friend to calm down.  Her eyes spoke volume ‘I understand... I am with you... Be strong…’ Woman:  (in a furious whisper)  I just don’t believe this! How could he...? Friend:  (with a gentle smile)  Just hold on... Let...

Mr.Radioactive & Ms.Radium

The silver wedding anniversary celebration of the couple was in full swing. Several relatives, friends and well wishers had gathered to toast the couple’s life together. “When they first got married and she came into our family, she was such a hot head!! Our boy has certainly tamed her for good!” whispered the grand old lady. “She beautifully learnt to gel into our family. Growing together…

The marriage was falling apart.  Ten years of togetherness or so she had thought... And here she was ready to call it quits.  Severing any relationship, however unpleasant it might have been, is very tough.  She was convinced her’s hadn’t been unpleasant.  As her mind walked down memory lane, she remembered when he made her smile for the first time,  how she had forgotten her surroundings to laugh out loud,  how he had held her hands when she had first shed tears in his presence,  his support during the struggles,  his vulnerability he had dared to share with her,  the...

Why should I be good?

Science was feeling depressed. How ever much he did, there were somethings he was not able to convince man to do. He believed it was the birth right of every child to be curious and seek for answers. He also believed it was the responsibility of every adult care giver to allow the child to explore life and not become mechanised. But here was a dilemma. Most adults were failing to navigate the intellect of the child in constructive expressions. It was time to help build a new world - not one based on fear of punishment or motivated by...
