Why Meditate?

I wrote this in my journal in February 2003…

” As I sat one afternoon with my lunch at Yelagiri hills during my first spiritual retreat (January 26th to February 1st 2003), I saw the breeze gently sway a blade of grass even as a little ant was moving across it. The sight prompted a question within my heart ‘Why have
you made this blade of grass, this ant and me in this same planet?’ The revelation came ‘each ant, blade of grass, each sub-atomic particle is meant to be. They can neither be created nor destroyed. Even if one sub-atomic particle stopped its motion the whole existence would cease. Therefore each and every sub-atomic particle is the ruler of this universe. God / Existence is
omnipresent.’ A deep felt gratitude arose within me towards each blade of grass for having donned the roles they have and thereby enabling me to be ME! “

Today I get to read a scientific validation…
