that I ought to think for others, must let empathy define

You told me I had to learn to let go
that I must be vehemently passionate and yet remain detached
I strived, strive and continue striving to make Thy presence shine…

You told me faith and surrender always respond
that the world has a larger plan, the system driven divine
I strived, strive and continue striving to make Thy presence shine…

I have listened to all You say, I willingly follow Thy call
but don’t let that fool You, my most beloved God
I demand Your response, I’m unwilling to settle small.

Its no longer a transaction of favours returned for my striving efforts
Its not about me learning or passing your judgement call
Its not about what I deserve or what You think I still lack

Its about time You remove petty crimes and wasted efforts of mine
Time to dream BIG and make those come alive
Don’t stand in my way sapping my energy with worthless slime

Its time you believed in ME and what you dream for me to unfold
Enough Lord! Enough! Save me from these small ‘nuisances’
Lets no more waste life on pettiness. Its time for your light to shine !
